Chateau Ste Michelle is Washington state's founding winery featuring award winning wines from their historic chateau and grounds near Seattle.

This wine exhibits a light straw colour with aromas of baked goods and apple cider.

Tasting Notes

Winemaker Paula Eakin samples several lots of base wine and eventually creates the cuvée based on aroma and flavour. She works with Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier from more than one vintage to create a consistent house style.

The palate is round and soft with notes of sweet ripe pear and a crisp and balanced finish. Like France's renowned northerly Champagne district, Washington state's Colombia Valley vineyards benefit from extra daylight hours and cool growing temperatures.
